100% of your donation supports Zilker Elementary School and the many services and enrichment programs provided by the Zilker PTA. The Zilker PTA is 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation; donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by federal law. With your support, the Zilker PTA raises more than $30,000 a year. Those dollars translate into tangible benefits for our students and faculty. Proceeds from Zilker PTA fundraisers have recently been used to:
· Purchase new computer equipment for the students, including 2 printers, 10 desktop computers, 3 document cameras, and new reading software
· Support numerous student field trips to places such as Blanton Art Museum, Texas Memorial Museum, San Antonio zoo, Austin Ballet, Paramount Theater, and Sweet Berry Farm.
· Beautify the campus, including new outdoor mural, cafeteria improvements, 4th grade garden area, mosaics
· Bring theatrical and musical performances to the school such as One World Theater, UT Theater and Dance, School of Rock, and the Bee Lady
· Help teachers buy additional books and educational software for their classrooms
· Support faculty professional development
· Purchase vegetable plants for the Pre-K, 1st grade, and 2nd grade garden
· Support the school Science Fair, Young Author’s Conference and other educational enrichment programs
· Provide free after-school tutoring for children who are academically at-risk
· Add a new in-school Spanish language teaching program for all children at Zilker
