ARTS IN EDUCATION COMMITTEE WANTS YOU!

Are you a painter, landscaper, carpenter, mosaic artist, muralist or art lover? If so, Arts in Ed is for you! Zilker’s Arts In Education Committee is a sub-committee of the PTA that brings ART and art-related programs to Zilker. Join our team to help beautify our school and enrich students with visual, musical, literary and kinetic programs, all of which make Zilker so unique!

Some of the beautification projects we hope to accomplish this year include:

• Recycled tires mosaic bench with shading near 3rd grade portables

• Music-related mosaic near Music Room

• Painting the portable classrooms

• Zilker Bat Cave art installation

Some of the programs we will bring to Zilker students this year include:

• Aboriginal art, dance and music with Omid

• Austin Ballet

• Austin Jazz Workshop

• Holiday Sing-a-Long & Festival of Lights

• Lucas Miller - Singing Zoologist

• Reflections Art Program

If you are interested in being an Arts in Ed Volunteer — working on cool beautification projects that utilize your talents — or would like to join the Arts in Ed Committee — sharing your ideas about art programming for Zilker and helping with the annual Z Art Auction, please either:
